Nonhuman Primate Evaluation and Analysis Part 1: Analysis of Future Demand and Supply

Ensuring an adequate supply of NHPs to sustain research progress has been an ongoing challenge, with periodic shortages and surpluses being experienced at various times over the past several years. The NHP Evaluation and Analysis was conducted to provide the NIH and the research community with an improved understanding of the demand for and supply of NHPs within the United States, with particular emphasis on the NPRCs and other NHP centers supported by the ORIP, which support research across the NIH Institutes, Centers, and Offices. Zebrafish and Other Fish Models: Extrinsic Environmental Factors for Rigorous Experiments and Reproducible Results

This ORIP-sponsored workshop takes place September 11-12, 2017 at the Marriott Hotel 6711 Democracy Blvd in Bethesda. The objective of this workshop is to bring together stakeholders - researchers, facility managers, veterinarians, and others - to discuss community guidelines on a minimal set of environmental conditions which need to be presented in publications to ensure rigor and robustness of experiments, and reproducibility of outcomes - see the workshop agenda.
